How to show histogram when using Tone tab?

Post by marbly »

When I use the Tone tab the histogram that is displayed when using the Standard tab disappears so I can't look at it as I adjust things. I have been searching for a way to view it while in the Tone tab, but haven't found a way. Is there way? If not, why not?

By the way, I was playing around with a photo and was on the Standard tab. The first thing I tried was selecting AutoLevel. I changed the black level from 0.200% to various less aggressive values looking for what looked good. I tried values from 0.200% to 0.003% and there was very little change in the image or the histogram. Blacks were clipped quite a bit with all those values. I then tried 0.002% and suddenly the shadows end of the histogram jumped over to the left. :?

I guess the pins for pinning tools are not as obvious as they used to be in Bibble 5.

Something is wonky with the autolevel/autocontrast implementation ;-(

cheers

Ahh, that did it. Thanks!

Okay, glad it isn't just me. I assume a bug report has already been submitted about this?

Well, it has been noted in the beta forums.
More reports usually help prioritizing things.

Yeah, there's been many posts about autoloevels & autocontrast. They are currently completely broken & completely useless; my best advice there is pretend they don't exist.

You can do a little customization of the tools using hte customUI.txt file. See the blog posting here: http://flightofthebibbles.blogspot.com/ ... -tabs.html

Okay, I submitted a bug report. It would be helpful if everyone on these forums who finds a problem would submit a bug report so maybe they will get fixed. I know that I am getting quite annoyed that a very buggy beta or even alpha release got put out as a regular release and I am even more annoyed that I am Corel's unpaid QA person. They are getting a very bad reputation in my book.
