Hi Oatmeal
yes you can do this..........

Video Studio cannot give all options in their templates the list would be enormous, however we can create our own templates should the defaults templates not be suitable.

Try using Share Create Video File Custom option
Or use Settings--Make Movie Templates Manager

I created a template to these settings

MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 6000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps

6000kbps seems to be the lower limit when using the Mpg4 option.

Project Properties frame size.

Yes you can select/set 1920 x 1080 as the frame size.
You have to use the AVI option, a few compression options will allow for 1920 x 1080
Try Microsoft Video 1 or maybe Div X
Both allow for User Defined frame sizes.

This might've already been said but...Fully 100% 64bit upport (so,whenever it's about to get installed in a Windows 7 64bits enviroment,it installs in Program Files...NOT Program files (x86)) and also 100% support for newer GPU cards like the nVidia's 600 series (66oGTX Ti OC 2GB is my case),so it takes full advantage of encoding and decoding and making,dunno,15 minute video files rendered in MPEG4 720p in in just..6-7 minutes?

Hope this can be done...or atleast make 2 different download versions, one for 32bits and another ONLY for 64bits...that'd help a a lot...

Be able to handle videos from iPhones without issues (black screens when play clips, jerky videos when play projects, etc.), even with the latest version of Quicktime. I currently have to convert my iPhone videos to get them to play properly. iPhone is mainstream and so the program should handle.
