Webinar announcement: Detailed editing

Post by evelynw »

Hi all,

As a follow up to our overview webinar, we're working on a series of monthly live sessions to help you get the most out of AfterShot and help answer your questions. This month's topic is on non-destructive editing - applying detailed edits both globally and locally. You can register for the live session below, but we'll also be recording it and posting it on our YouTube channel for on-demand viewing later. If you missed the first webinar, you can catch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i633ZBya9Fc

Webinar Topic: Non-destructive editing with layers and selections

Join Jeff Stephens, Senior Product Manger, as he discusses and demonstrates the following topics:
- Understand how each of the basic adjustment tools work and how to choose the right one for the job
- Work with layers and selection tools to apply detailed, local adjustments
- Apply edits to multiple images (capture / apply vs. creating presets)
- Extend your editing power with AfterShot Pro plug-ins

Date: Thursday, March 22, 2012
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT (12:00 pm EDT, 5:00 pm BST)

Register Here: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/933634489

Stay tuned for future webinars :)

An important notice for our Linux friends: Please don't feel neglected, but the webinar service we use from GoToMeeting only works for Windows and Mac users at the moment. We're experimenting with another service that offers Win/Mac/Linux support, but it's a little clunky for webinars. We'll keep looking, but until we find a winner, we'll make sure we continue to post recordings to our YouTube channel. Thanks for your patience!

Given that North America will have switched to daylight saving time by mid March as opposed to Europe that will switch on the 25th, I guess that should read 12:00 EDT (half an hour later in Newfoundland), 16:00 BST, 17:00 CET.

Whoa! Nice catch! That would have been embarrassing ;) I think I've corrected it above.

Registered, then saw from the small print that this webinar is not available for Linux users. Could you mention that in your top post?
I am glad that I shall be able to "catch up" on youtube later, but it is a pity that we Linux users will not be able to ask our own questions.
Given that one of ASP's USPs is its ability to run on Linux, you need a long term solution to this. But please don't let it interfere with the process of developing webinars or that of releasing the much awaited update.

Hi Dutchmm! Sorry for the omission on the announcement above. The GoToMeeting service is still limited to Windows and Mac users. We're looking at other services that can provide similar features on Win/Mac/Linux. There is one we're exploring, but it's still a bit clunky for webinar usage and is rather limited. Until we find a solution, we'll make sure we continue to post recordings and provide links on both our Facebook page and on this forum. Thanks for your patience :)

I'd suggest that you continue uploading the recordings to Youtube even after you found a Win/Mac/Linux solution. There is practically no reason not to do this.

Don't worry - It'll be a standard practice to post webinars on YouTube and keep them listed on www.corel.com/webinars
