Switching between items
Is there a way to switch between items without closing out an item while in edit? ie: You have two (or more) items open in edit, and you want to cut from one item and paste on another but you don't want to close out the one you just cut on. I tried using the little arrows on top of the edit workspace, thinking these would be the way to switch items, but they don't do anything, at least for me anyway. I tried looking in the user guide but no luck.

Re: Switching between items
The arrows are just meant to scroll through the list of tabs not actually move between them so those won't seem to do anything unless you have a lot of images open.
To switch between the open images just click on the tab representing the other image.
It's just like in your web-browser. You can switch between the open tabs by clicking on the tab you want. The other tabs remain open provided you don't close them.
Now if you want them to show up side by side, then you need to turn off tabbed documents (go to the Window menu and deselect "Tabbed Documents") and then you can arrange the individual image windows however you want.

You can also use the (short-cut) keyboard button CTRL + TAB or simply WINDOWS menu and from there you'll see the list of all images that are currently open.

Re: Switching between items
Hey, thanks guys fo the help. Believe it or not I didn't even see that PSP had tabs. I went to Preferences and thought you had to set PSP to show tabs but after looking and not finding anything I went back and looked again and sure enough, there they were. That makes life a whole lot easyer. Thanks again.
