Ok, I reviewed the company website and liked the look of this software for authoring DVDs. Liked the description in that it indicated that it had 100+ templates (I'll quote ... "Choose from a collection of over 100 menus that look great..."
So, I install the trial, and there are like 6 templates available. That's it... SIX. That's a far cry from "over 100" I search the net... nothing, I search through these forums... and couldn't find an answer... I did see lots of people asking as to where all these templates are. Honestly, I'm not going to spend any more hours hunting the forums for this most simple question.
Perhaps SOMEONE has an answer to this confounding question. I will be happy to buy this software if I could get these templates I read about and saw some examples of on the company website... but without these templates, I wouldn't consider buying it. I'm looking for a good selection of templates to build some nice DVD movies with. I'm not a creative enough person to build such things myself... that's why the advertising on this appealed to me... The trial version however left me flat, with no explanation ANYWHERE that I've seen as to where they are or even IF you get them once you pay.
The software itself looks great. Tried building one DVD with one of the paltry six templates and it worked great...
I would want a firm commitment from the company that I would get them before I'd pull out my credit card. But in absence of anything like that in the documentation or on the website, it appears to me, on the surface, that these 6 DVD templates are pretty much all you get with this software package (trial or paid). This would be sad, as it's the templates that really finishes this off as a useable product.
I'll reserve judgement until I get a suitable response that answers my question.
Hopefully someone associated with the company can give me (and everyone else wondering the same thing), a straight answer.
Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Installed DVD MovieFactory 7 - Where are all the templat
Hi Thomas
Welcome to the forums.
First there are few Corel employees that frequent the forums, most of us are just like you a registered member.
Generally the trial versions although fully functioning are some what limited in the templates they provide. Six templates would be typical.
I have the DVD MF SE7 version that was provided with Video Studio X3, it is indeed a cut down version but even so provides me with some 36 different templates, each being customisable allowing you to use your own images etc.
The amount of templates available also varies depending on whether you are burning a standard dvd or a Bluray then the available templates are reduced.
The full version will provide more than the trial, hopefully some one owning the complete version will comment.
I had to access the American site to find the product, the UK site just does not show DVD Movie Factory.
The site does however offer a “30 day money back guarantee”
