Tools for filtering out static?

Post by JoelMe »

I have a sound track with an unacceptable amount of static and white noise in the audio. Can anyone suggest tools for filtering out background noise? Options in VS X4?

as I am sure you have discovered VideoStudio is an excellent video editor - but unfortunately that does not include sound editing. The only solution to your problem is to export the sound track from your video using VS and then use an audio editing programme to manipulate the audio and then import the final sound track back into VS

If you do not have an audio editor then I know that several other users on here use a free programme called Audacity which you can download from :- http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ - if you want better than that there are several audio programme you can purchase which allow you to do almost anything with the sound before putting it back into VS.
