Converting audio to a compatible format? How? :?:

I'm building a great library of old Hullabaloo shows and burning DVD's. When I got to the point I was going to going to burn this show onto a DVD, I got the following message:

[C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Music\Hullabaloo (11-29-65).mpg] is using the AC-3 audio file format. DVD MovieFactory 2.5 does not support this audio format. Please convert the audio first to a compatible format.

OK, HELP. How do I do this?

is it only 2.1 AC3? i "think" later versions support this without a problem, maybe think about the cheap upgrade path?
