I installed the software about a month ago, and had no issues playing 3D movies. I recently changed my system configuration to AHCI (from IDE) as all my drives are SATA. I also need the be able to hotswap with the new drive bay installed. I went to play a 3D movie tonite and it starts up then shows "you need a 3D display or player..." what you would see if placed in any non-3D capable player. At first I thought it was the disc, so I tried 2 others, same results. I tried the discs in my standalone 3D player, no problems.
I made a few tweaks to bios to see if it would have any effect, and there was no change; set SATA to emulate IDE. I also updated all drivers, disabled Crossfire-X, downgraded Plextor utilies, etc all to no avail. I really enjoyed being able to use Dolby Live output from my PC and was primary reason for purchasing software.
Anyone else have this issue?

Re: WinDVD Pro 11 fails 3D movie playback
I went through some additional changes after the initial post, but still running into same issue.
Uninstalled Catalyst software, ran driver sweep utilities to remove any remnants, installed latest version.
Disabled all running background programs.
Uninstalled WinDVD, installed current version (same as version received in Feb boxed product)
Now I did see a potential issue, but unsure on how to do further diagnoses. When I disabled my second monitor (Viewsonic VX2433wm) and started up player it showed the Viewsonic monitor as the playback screen. I was somewhat baffled as I have the 3D settings for HDMI, and that monitor is not connected (although supports) via HDMI. I am thinking WinDVD thinks my display is the Viewsonic, regardless of which monitor shows up in 3D settings panel. After enabling the Viewsonic, the Sony shows back up in the 3D settings panel.
Was getting a bit tired so took a break, thinking maybe a registry or ini setting may be incorrect for monitor identification?
