Win 8, WinDVD11 Error "Can't find wnaspi32.dll"

Win 8 public beta while Win 8 compatibility says WinDVD11 is compatible, so far a no go.

Did a search for this dll and it does not exist on my hard drive, nor in the trash can. Reloaded WinDVD11 but same issue. Won't play any DVD or BD. Where can I safely get this dll and where should I install it?

Win 8 public beta 64bit
AMD 960T (stock clocks)
8gb DDR3 1600
Samsung BD player
Radeon HD 6670

Loaded missing DLL and now WinDVD11 just crashes. PowerDVD9 also does not work. I can play DVDs with Media Center but need a Blu-Ray player that works.

it is to be expected, since Windows 8 CP is basically a beta version. But rest assured that we are currently testing and making sure that Corel products will be compatible when Windows 8 is officially release later this year.

Thanks for the update. Was hoping to keep Win8 until launch but looks like I will have to load Win7 since this machine is mainly used for videos, TV etc. PowerDVD 9 and 12 also did not work, stuck with watching DVDs only with Media Center

Can you please tell me what progress you are making with respect to WinDVD 11 Pro compatability with Win 8?

I have bought your player recently and am disappointed that it won't work under Win 8.

I'm afraid you need to direct your question direct to Corel. If you look at the name of this forum, it is a user to user web board, and all of us here are users like you. We are not Corel employees and have no idea what Corel might be thinking about in making their huge number of programs compatible with Win 8. Sorry....
