windvd pro 11 will not work

Post by JEB86home »

as the subject says. doesn't work. when i put a disc in, blu-ray or dvd, the program opens then freezes. it won't let you press play, stop, eject, or anything in the program when a disc is in the drive. when a disc is not in the drive, you can modify settings and stuff, but that's it. i have updated to the latest update on corel's website, which is windvd pro 11 service pack 1. i have updated my nvidia graphics drive to the most current driver, which was just released on 2-21-12. windows is updated. i tried uninstalling, and reinstalling, then reinstalling the service pack again, and nothing, same issue. i sent a question three times to corel, but every time i send a question, it says ''your case has been created" but directly under it will say 'case creation fail' and when i check my account, i have no open cases. (see pic)

i switched from using cyberlink because i hate their software with a passion. i don't want to switch back, but it looks like i'll have to, unless i can get this fixed. does anybody have any ideas at all? i know this is a long shot because it appears that most people's questions on here go unresolved.. but its worth a try. help?

forget this company. this is ridiculous. i bought PowerDVD again and its working like its supposed to. never buying another corel product again. their support is even worse than cyberlink.
