Splitting large files for burning

I have a 4 hour mpeg 2 file of 15 Gb or so (8,000 kbps variable) that I want to burn to DVD. What is the best way of identifying with UL V7 how much will of the files fit onto a DVD and what is the best way of dividing the file into the three or four pieces to get it onto DVD.

I would also like to add audio fade up and audio fade down to the beginning and end of the split files but I haven't been able to work out how to do it sucesfully. Help please
