In any case PhotoImpact 13 PRO is better than PhotoShop Elements. I need an image editor as PhotoImpact 12 for my work. Corel offers a less attractive alternative but still better than PhotoShop Elements. I will take a chance on PhotoImpact 13 PRO because I need PhotoImpact that works with Windows 7.
Hi Cearis, I have PhotoImpact X3 (Corel version) and it works with Windows 7 64 bit, I have the occasional crashes, but I used to have the same type of crashes when I used PhotoImpact 12 with Windows XP, so I don't think it's a specific problem with Windows 7. Please let us know if there are any differences/advantages to using PhotoImpact 13 Pro, I'm very interested in it too. (I'm just happy that PI X3 works with Windows 7, as I plan on using that for the next ten years, or however long Microsoft will support it).

If Cearis or anybody else has PhotoImpact 13 Pro, I'm very interested in the Gaussian Blur function, as shown on this page:
http://www.novadevelopment.com/software ... y-software
which makes only the background go out of focus (as far as I can tell, PhotoImpact X3's gaussian blur just blurs everything).

By the way, this definitely looks like it is different to PI X3, under the 'Advanced Image Editing' heading, I found "EasyPalette UNIQUE!
Thumbnail Effects Library - Explore over 2,500 customizable effects and 800 objects. Simultaneously preview multiple effects instantly!" which doesn't look like the Easy Palette in PI X3, unless I've missed it.

The only problem I've found is that Nova Development want a ridiculous $60 to ship it to the U.K., so it's $160 in total, but I've found one on Amazon.com for about $80 (£50) including shipping to the U.K. Why don't Nova have a download version as well?
