X4 Trial won't start (fresh install)

Hello folks,

i'm new to this forum, so please treat me gently

I've a serious problem with the trial of X4 (ger). After downloading the file from the corel site and installing it on my laptop, the program icon just pops up on the taskbar and then nothing else happens.
-> No error message, no window - nothing!

I installed PSP X4 with admin rights.
I'm logged in with administrator rights.

The maschine i'm using this trial on is a toshiba L670 with win7 Premium home (64bit). All MS Win 7 updates have been installed.

What can i do to solve this problem?

Did you save to your disc then install all go for an immediate install?
It sounds like it hasn't installed properly, so uninstall (or use system restore) and try installing again, but not direct from the ent, save to disc first.

Use system restore if possible. Then reinstall.

Another steps that you can do is to manually remove the damaged installed PSP X4 then download a new installer from this link and just like what skier-hughes mentioned, download the file first on your computer and then just run the installation once the download is complete.
