I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this but i am mostly using PSP9 and since a few months, i notice that pulling a guide can get my PSP to freeze and go "Not responding". Sometimes, if i wait long enough (several minutes), it might come back, but not always. It is not happening consistently (thank goodness) so it is a guessing game everytime i need to pull a guide.
I would say it might happen half the time with my PSP9, and also noticed it happens when i use PSPX3, although i dont use it as much, i use it wheni record tutorials or webinars. Since it is a "new" behavior, i suspect it might have something to do with something ELSE than PSP itself, maybe a windows update, or such.
Anyone has experienced this or can think of an explanation (and solution) for it?
A friend of mine emailed me with that question as she is experiencing it with her PSPX2.

Re: Pulling guides may freeze my PSP
I have not experienced this problem, but several others have. There was a fairly long thread on this board, http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... ze#p195722, where people reported this with PSP 9 and with X2 and newer, I believe. While no real resolution was found, some workarounds were offered. Maybe something in that thread might be helpful. I seem to recall other discussions of this issue also, but I can't locate them right now.
I am sure you are also aware of the official stance that PSP 9 isn't compatible with Windows 7. However, PSP 9 is running fine on my Windows 7 computer and others.

Re: Pulling guides may freeze my PSP
See, I'm not aware of it happening while pulling guides. Creating them, yes, but not pulling them. In fact the recommended way to avoid the crashing bug for creating guides is to quickly create the guide and put it down. Then pull the guide into place. So if pulling them can also cause problems for some then...yeah that's just a bug that's existed for quite some time.
