probably dumb question .. thought I would check anyhow:

I myself am already a registered user of VS latest version.

But I just ordered a new boxed set of latest VS as a gift for my daughter; ('cause she's so thrilled with the work I had done with the program myself)

I ordered/paid for it;

but she'll be able to install it and register herself as her own user, right? even though I paid for it?

just assuming there won't be any confusion between me the buyer - and her the user. (since I'm already registered ...)

The program is identified by it's key (that is how they determine who the registered owner is) so you should be able to have as many copies as you like in your name, provided they each have discrete keys.

Agree with Natal, it won't be a problem. If you have two pc's and use VS on both at the same time, then you need two copies registered to yourself, so they will be quite used to dealing with this sort of purchase.

Since you ordered a box copy, then no problem since your daughter will then register the software under her name she'll have the installer together with the serial number. These things get complicated if you ordered the download media.
