proDAD Mercalli The video analysis must be executed again

Post by AussieTX »

I am getting this across the screen on every video that I use Mercalli on. Not to mention horrible lock up's and slow operation.
I was so fed up last night that I dumped my entire PC and loaded WIN 7 and all its updates and then VSX4.
Still I am getting the same behaviour. I run the filter and it goes through its little screen of adjusting the clip based on the settings used.
But I still get this warning on the final project even though the analysis WAS run.
I was able to get it to work with an upload to Youtube (.flv) but anything to Disc gives the warning.
Also found that VSX4 crashes if you try and save to video folders as well as burn the disk.
Now that I think about this it all seemed to start after the last Windows updates. I'm running WIN 7 X64 Home Premium

Update
Removed Mercalli from each of the video clips and project is a lot smoother. Also am now able to burn a disc while saving the video files at the same time. No crash.
I will have to troubleshoot this a bit more. Perhaps its because this is a project started before VS was upgrade wioth the service pack and all those WIN 7 upgrades the other night.
Who knows. Will have to try a small throw away project and try and re-create.

I am having the same problem with Mercalli "the video analysis must be executed again" using pro X5 ultimate. I did a YouTube and had to run Merclli again and then the YouTube was ok. However, In spite of running Mercalli multiple times, trying all three Frame Types, etc. I do not get "the video analysis must be executed again" on my proX5 screen but when I make a DVD it is on all of the rendered videos.

I can't quite find the earlier thread on this, but if I recall correctly, you have to have your video in progressive or frame based format -- not interleaved (i.e. not using Upper or Lower Field First) -- for Mercalli to be able to handle it without that message.

You can't stabilize a progressive clip and then share to an interlaced format. VideoStudio is peculiar. Stabilizing an interlaced clip and sharing to a progressive format won't be a problem.
