I´m also using Archlinux. BEZ, like any other plugin, is working flawless. I used this package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=55712 to install ASP.

Oh, Sorry!
It was my mistake, somehow...
The plugins DO WORK on "proper" images.
Apparently, I was trying them on virtual copies (versions?) AFP created before.
So, it was a false alarm for all practical purposes :(
Thank you all for helping and especially thanks to Ferdinand who did a splendid job.

Ferdinand,
How about trying to make the plugins a bit more "foolproof" (as if that is possible at all!) and make them inactive if there is no proper image to be processed?

I don't understand. Please explain. What do you mean by a "proper image"? I just checked and both my plugins work on versions and on layers and on layers in versions. (I noticed that there is an issue with the Bez starting values on a layer, but I suspect that this is an ASP problem, which is easily dealt with by pressing the reset Bez button). What do my plugins do differently to other plugins?

Ferdinand, your plugin behaves just the same as the rest.
It was my fault (a beginner for FSP).

I have *.pef and *.jpg images. Unfortunately, I have tried your plugins only on two images (without looking at their filenames or statuses) which were simply on the fly processed copies of other files.
They both end like "_v2". File manager (outside of ASP) does not show them; they do not exist!
I did not know that ASP shows the internal representation of some files even when no output is created.
(In fact, I have no idea how those two images were created; perhaps something I did).
So I assumed, if I click on an image, there IS an image! In this case, however, I was just clicking on a "mirage".
Sorry for bothering you; plugins work correctly.

However, having a mechanism (a message? dimming of tools? etc) when an unititiated person (like myself) tries to make operations on a nonexistent (sidecar?) file would be handy.

I am fairly sure that these are versions. I'm also fairly sure that you would have created them when you pressed the {INS(ert)} key. They are virtual copies. Versions allow you, for example, to produce both colour and B&W versions of the same file and to keep the settings for both. Or two different colour renditions, or two different crops, etc. So from one RAW file (or any other kind of file) you can produce two output files when you send both versions to a batch queue. I suggest you read the help on versions.

If you think that my scripts don't work on versions then I would like to hear about it. They work for me. But if you want to see the version in the file system you will need to output it.

Ferdinand,

In the meantime, I have updated my distro and re-installed ASP.
Now, everything works!!!
I have no idea what has changed...
Now, all the plugins (including yours) work on "versions".

I am happy and I liked your Bez very much; a very strong and really helpful plugin.
I hope I can use it properly.

Thank you once again for your interest in my strange problem and for creating these little beauties.
