I have Ulead Videostudio 9. Yes I know it is old but it does the job for me.
I am trying to capture from a DVD and following the manual instructions all goes OK up to the Import step. At that stage I get an error message "Temporary working forder does not exist. Report ID 0x8004083d(2109)" First time I have tried to capture stuff from a DVD.
Program still works fine on all other aspects.
I have checked the closed Ulead Forum and FAQ's but can find no solution. Is there anything I can do?

I presume that you have made a working folder?See pages 163 and 167 of the VS9 manual

Re: Trying to capture from DVD using VS9
Hi and Thanks Kenneth.
It is usually the simple things. When I first read your suggestion I thought of course I have a working folder. But thought I would check anyway and sure enough it was looking for an "old" hard drive ID letter. I had some work done on the PC recently and as part of that the hard drive ID's were changed. Simple fix and now all OK.
Thanks again.

Re: Trying to capture from DVD using VS9
I am a newcome to video editing and have ULead Video Studio 9. I did not realize it was an older version.
It is difficult for me to understand, especially editing scenes and deleting scenes I do not want.
Manual is very confusing, and I have spent hours trying to edit. No problems in capturing and titles.
Can you help ?

Almost certainly we can help CAW - but help with what ? - what is your specific problem ? - if you are just having basic problems using VideoStudio then first have a read through all the tutorials here :- http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php?f=27 - then go to Youtube and put VideoStudio into the search bar and you will be shown a large number on how to use all aspects of VideoStudio - have a look through some of those - the basics are the same in all versions it's just that you can do more in the later versions.
