VS9 - Special Offer of MF3 DC

Post by GeorgeW »

fyi,

Just noticed on Ulead's site for VideoStudio 9, they are running a special offer for a free copy of MovieFactory 3.0 Disc Creator with the purchase of VideoStudio 9

Even though it's MovieFactory 3.0 DC -- that's a great deal (imho)

GeorgeW,

Man, thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a reason to buy the VS9 and between the free shipping and DMF3 bonus, I took the plunge and ordered the boxed version. Thanks again!

Hi GeorgeW, I use VS8 at the moment, what advantage does MovieFactory have over VS?

Thanks

The 2 packages have different objectives. VS is more of an Editing package, while MF is more of a Disc Authoring package. They both have some features of each other (like VS has an Authoring tool, and MF does some basic Edits).

Look under the Highlights section here, and click the link that says Which product is right for me

That will give you an idea.

The special I listed here has more to do with going from VS8 to VS9, so check out the new features if you go to VS9. The bonus is you get DMF 3.0 Disc Creator (which doesn't have all the features of DMF 4.0DC, but it is an excellent mid-level Disc Authoring tool anyway - imho).
