Hi
I recently installed a HP 1000 printer, when I go to the "print preview" section of Photoimpact - and select "letter" from the dropdown what displayes is 4.25"x11" - HP tells me that, because the printer is fine with other programs (ie MS Word) - its a Corel problem. Corel tells me that - despite I have registerd products going back 12 years - pay them and they'll look into it (very nice!).
Any ideas?
(just in case; IBM Lenovo, XP SP3, USB printer)
thanks
Bill

As far as I know, Corel do not offer support for PhotoImpact any longer.
The software is being phased out and is now rather old.
It still works in Windows 7, but as OS update then these older programmes will no longer function.
Which brings me to your new printer trying to work with old software.
Why not try using the printer outside of PI to print.

Re: photoimpact x3 vs HP1000
thanks.
PI works with the 6 other printers I have access to - and the HP works with all of the other apps I print from -
I'll play with some of the older versions of PI. Odd that Corel would suggest I pay for support on
a product they can't support.

Re: photoimpact x3 vs HP1000
here's a fun fact - all version of PI since 5 are upgrades - I wiped PI from my PC and installed PIx3 clean - and two things happened -
the problem with HP went away - and I now have a trial version (my original activation key no longer works
just can't win
