VS X4 Issues! Freezing & Loss of Quality!!??

So far I regret buying Video Studio X4 due to my experiences with it.. Nothing but issues unfortunately.

My two biggest issues that bug me are:
1: Freezing
If try and save a video that is more then 25min (sometimes alot less), the program will become totally unresponsive. It doesn’t matter if I try and use my computer while trying to save in the background or If I don't touch my computer and leave for an hour+.
It rarely ever gets past 1% rendering. Program becomes unresponsive and I keep being prompted to "close" or "wait for program to respond".
It never responds even hours later. Doesn't make a difference which method I import or save the video, it always does the same thing.
This is very annoying, it did this on my older computer (which met system requirements easy) and does it with my new computer which is much more powerful then my older computer. Current computer doesn't have a problem running any other programs or games, except Video Studio X4!

2: Glitches with huge loss of quality
Often, when trying to edit a video even if it is a simple cutting unwanted parts of the clip, it will lose huge quality and have glitches/distorted bits through the video that were never there before.
The audio sometimes gets distorted somewhat too.
It will save the way it shows in the program (if problem 1 doesn't occur).
Again, doesn't matter which method I import and save, it does the same thing.

The program is not usable and is very frustrating.
Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, even rebuilt my computer.
No fix.

Not sure if I can help, but there have been some issues regarding the use of Hardware Decoder
Go to Settings – preferences-performance tab.

De-selecting the option seems to have cured perickson920’s problems.

I don’t have this option available so guess I don’t have Hardware Decoder capability.
