Hi,
A newbie question here! I downloaded PSPx4 Trial version on my new Notebook. My desktop has the Dell edition of JASC (now Corel) "Paint Shop Photo Album" which I have used for over 8 years. With PSPA I can make slideshows with music and it burns it to a cd. When I got the Notebook, I started looking for the same functionality in possibly an upgrade version of PSPA----that brought me to try out PSPx4!! Can I make a slideshow of photos with music? I looked thru the menus and also the "search" in HELP, but it looks like I need to try some other Corel product. Thanks for your help!
photo slideshow possible on PSPx4?

Re: photo slideshow possible on PSPx4?
From what I understand Paint Shop Pro Photo Album was different from Paint Shop Pro. So PSPX4 was never designed to be like photoalbum so, no, PaintShop Pro X4 does not do slide-shows you can burn to a CD.
I have two potential replacements for you.
1) If you're only interested in the slide-show creation then you can use Windows Media Player to make an actual video you could play on a DVD. It's simple, add photos easily, add music quickly, and lots of transitions to choose from.
2) If you also want basic photo-editing features as well as the ability to organize and tag photos ontop of making slideshows Google's Picasa is a wonderful tool for doing just that. One of its big selling points is the ability to use photo-recognition to create a photo slide-show that centers on the face of a person adding a really personalizd effect.
You can also make collages and regular slide-shows.

Re: photo slideshow possible on PSPx4?
Thanks, Levi! I will try those out for sure. I just took on the Corel Paint Shop Photo 2010 for a trial, so I aim to see what's out there. So far, the PSP2010 seems to have more audio soundfile options, but working with the thumbnails and the slide tray is maddening. If I keep it, I intend to do my slideshow organizing on my old JASC version and then copy it to PSP2010 for the rest of the process. Thanks again for the tips! Snuffy

Ah, yes Photo Express. Surprised they are still selling it, didn't go over that well.
