Hi,
I'm using aftershot Pro on Windows Vista Home edition.
When I go to the File System tab for my photos in one specific folder, photos are missing. In Windows Explorer, I can see over 100 pictures, in AP there is only two. I have checked that there are no filters active in AP.
Other folders don't seem to have this problem.
What could be the issue?
Cheers,
Henry

Re: photos are missing in File system tab
are you sure all files are supported?
things like converted DNG, or grayscale TIFF are not supported.
is your folder+filename unusually long? contains international characters?
if yes, try to remove them or shorten the folder/filename.

Re: photos are missing in File system tab
I had the same problem some time ago during Beta testing, first with one folder, then another. It was quite a while ago so I can't remember for sure but I think I ended up using shift-enter when starting ASP. Or, I reloaded the program; sorry I can't be more specific. Everything came back to normal. At the time I thought this was related to having set ASP as the default for RAW files and double-clicking on one to open ASP. Did you do that at any time/fieldrabbit21 wrote: When I go to the File System tab for my photos in one specific folder, photos are missing. Re: photos are missing in File system tab
The pictures were there yesterday.
I did some testing:
1) copies the problematic folder with all pictures into new folder. In AP, using the File System tab, all pictures od the new folder are shown.
Now I rename the new folder to the problematic folder (of course I renamed that one first). Then only two pictures are shown. So it seems that folder name is somehow "marked". No clue how and what.
2) uninstall AP and re-installed. Absolutely no difference.
Any clues?
Cheers,
Henry

OK, don't know why, but Mark's suggestion to shift-enter the application resolves the issue.
I actually double-clicked the application while holding down shift button.
Thanks,
Henry

And your start with the SIFT key did clean out the cache....
It never ceases to amaze me that people think a re-install could change anything user specific....2) uninstall AP and re-installed. Absolutely no difference.
DOS has died last century.
The installed stuff sits in a completely different location than your user stuff.
cheers

Why the surprise? We are all at different levels of knowledge about computers and forums such as this one is one way that we learn about what is "under the hood", as Google calls it. I always welcome your insight.
