Hi, I have been using VS8 for a while now , connecting to a SHarp VL-PD6 Mini DV camcorder via firewire, My PC is Win XP SP 2 with all the available updates installed.
Everyting was fine until yesterday wehn i installed all three updates fro your website. Mainly as i have now got a Pioneer DVR-108 and noticedthat the patch gave dual layer burning.
I can seem to capture any more from my camcorder. When i start up VS 8 and go to the capture screen the Camcorder starts and goes into pause as it always has done, but i get nothing in the Capture window. THe controls all seem to work ok as i can see the resualt in the screen on the camcorder. I can click the capture button and eceryting appears to work (still no ppicture in the capture window) but when i click stop capture im told the generated file is corrupt and will be deleted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not our website Chris - none of us work for Ulead - or if we did we propably wouldn't admit it.
Did you back up the DVD directory as instructed on the download page for the Burning Engine Update - and have you tried reverting to the original files.
Failing that use your computers 'roll-back' option to restore your PC to a point before you downloaded any patches.
