Advice - PSP X4 on laptop and desktop

Hello,

Currently I'm using Idimager as a DAM tool. I'm looking for the option to migrate to PSP X4 also for organizing my collections. I've organized my photo's in a clear folder structure, by date and/or project. Files are enriched with some simple labeling and naming in the EXIF/IDTC.

Could you inform me how PSP X4 is managing the catalog, as I am using my desktop and a laptop for editing/organizing my collection. Is all labeling/rating information added to the files, or is PSP using a database that should be transfered/synchronized?

As I think I'm not the only one with this type of setup, please advice/share your thoughts about the best way to handle this workflow...
