Something is not right with the built-in sharpening in ASP 1.0. It seems the general recommendation is to use the Wavelet Sharpen plug-in instead.

You can treat sky on a layer in ASP... Use regions.

Hi Andy,

thanks for the tips! I saved your presets and will experiment with them, I have all shots of a three-week trip to sort and to process. Great to see so much valuable info on this board.

Presets are a great idea. They save time. But we need to be careful that they don't make us lazy. Every photo is different and as a result each photos needs different attention. Often a preset can be counter productive.
