Hi Peter,
I still don't have a blu ray burner and player. In order to see my HD movies in the TV I am using a xtreamer.
Anyway, till now I did't enable the 5.1 channels so I heard all the speaker with about the same volume.
In my last movie I selected the 5.1 option, and.... I can hardly hear the left speaker not in the 5.1 and not in the stereo mode. In the 5.1 mode I hear all the speakers (except the left one) in the same volume even I have shifed the backround music toward the surround speakers.
When I created a simple DVD from the same HD rendered file, the 5.1 channels worked well.
So, could it be that enable 5.1 channels in an HD movie doesn't work at all?
Regards,
Abraham

Re: 5.1 Channels in x4
Thanks Abraham for sharing this information.
This confirms to me that the problem I am seeing is not related to my PC setup, used drivers, program installation etc. It looks like it is a Video Studio X4 itself that is causing this. Perhaps one of the moderators can pass this information on the Corel development team to look at it.
Regards,
Peter

You do not need Blu-Ray burner to burn AVCHD discs. Regular DVD burner will do just fine (providing your movies are < 4.7G). You do need however Blu-ray or AVCHD compatible player to play your disc on TV.
