I'm hoping that someone here might have seen this and can help. MF3 had been working fine for me for some time. But I haven't used it in a few months now. Today when I tried to run it and create a new video disc, the only choice is VCD. There is no SVCD and no DVD option. It is as if the Mpeg 2 codec isn't there. But I can play DVD's with PowerDVD.
There probably have been several changes to my system since the last time I ran MF3, so I don't know what change corresponded to this problem. My question is this...have you seen this before? The only one choice for a new project? And what can I look at to fix it?
Thanks for any help.

When you execute the program are you seeing the
"Launching Menu" screen?
Or, is the program going directly into one of the modules.
I had that happen awhile back. When I clicked on the application
instead of the launching menu screen one of the creation screens
came up.
You should see the launching screen with all the selections of
"Edit DVD", "Direct to Disc" and about 6 other choices.
If your not getting the launching screen you can also execute the
individual modules directly going into the installation directory.
The main screen is "Launcher.exe"
Are you using the full version of MF3 or did it come bundled as a
package with your burner.

First, I have the full version of MF3.
Second, when I launch it, I get the screen with six choices, the top left most one being "Create Video Disc".
When I choose "Creat Video Disc" it brings up a dialog box that gives me two radio buttons. "New Project:" and "existing project". When "New Project" is selected there is another set of radio buttons (normally) that SHOULD be VCD, SVCD, and DVD. That area only shows me VCD as a choice. This is the problem. If I pick "existing project" and select a project that I did previously with the DVD choice, it launches a blank screen.
Something is causing it to totally "forget" how to do MPeg2 stuff, it seems.

I experience the same thing last year. I figure that it's caused by having too many video editing programs in my system in addition to InCD. No matter how many times I uninstall & reinstall MF3, it won't help at all. Finally when my Nero gives me problems when copying DVD, I format my HDD & reinstall WinXP together with all my other programs. So far I don't see this problem when using MF4.
