Hi PeteFerraro

You do not say what options you are choosing to render the video……….

As the frame size uses 1280 x 720 then try rendering the video to Share -- Upload to web – YouTube – Mpeg4 HD (16-9)

When complete simply close the upload window.

If the quality is acceptable use Settings -- Make Movie Templates Manager to create your own template

MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 30 fps
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps

I deleted all of my imported videos. Re-added them and made sure that they were in the proxy. Same result. I'll open a case with Corel support, but there are issues with this product. It doesn't work.

Hi

Now I am totally confused.
You said…… on on Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:20 pm

My issue isn't importing MP4s and getting choppy playback. It's taking an AVI, adding a title and background music and simply exporting to a MP4 for a Kindle Fire. I can get a smoother video with still pictures.

In your last post you seem to indicate that it is a playback issue..
---------------------

If it’s a render quality issue then can you tell us what options you are selecting to create the new video file. You haven’t told us what you have made, I am just guessing that you used the YouTube option.

Sometimes there may be Quality issues in using Smart Render, note I say Smart Render, disable this option prior to saving the new video file, does that improve things?

Without answering our questions in full we are simply going round in circles.

So is it a Proxy playback issue---guess that’s NO
Is it a quality issue after creating a new video file---- I guess YES, so what have you made, what options did you choose from Share-Create Video File--*****

Using the new video file, from the timeline – right click and select properties, what are they?

I have a question. How do you know when the Proxy files are finished? Is there any indication?

Hi Tony

A small double icon is placed within the clip on the timeline and library.
Not to get comfused with other icons seen after using filters?
Viewing the Smart Proxy Queue Manager--the list is empty.
The actual proxy files can be viewed in Smart Proxy File Manager, the files having a simular name to the original

Hope that helps

Thanks lata for the info. It would be nice to actually see something to show how much is rendered (a meter, color change on timeline, etc) so that you have a visual idea of where you are at in the project as far as rendering goes.
