Appcrash with Paint Shop Pro X2 and several plugins

Post by Jamila »

I bought the older Version Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 installed it yesterday ... looked as it were working fine, but crashes with several plugins I usually use. Now I work again with Paint Shop Pro 9.01 since this version works stable and does not crash with the very same plugins. I thought that X2 would be better than XI which I bought a long while ago, since that version always crashed.

Now I would like to know, if there is a chance to work with X2 without crashes or that I have to continue to work with 9.01 and throw the X2 into trash same I did before to the version XI?

Rather than using PSP X2, I would suggest that you try and use PSP X4, which is the latest and newest version of PaintShop Pro X4 here.

Which plugins are you trying to use with X2 that don't work. How do they not work? Just crashing the program? There are people here who are still using older versions of PSP who might be able to help you.

I have a similar problem - and soo, I think its better to put it here, than to make a new thread - sometime ago a buyed a copy from Paint Shop Pro X4 and tried to install some old plug-ins, but most of them don´t work when I try to use one of them, PS Pro X4 will show me this mensage (in portuguese) "Não é possivel carregar o filtro do plug-in solicitado. O plug-in pode não estar instalado corretamente ou arquivos podem estar faltando. (Plug-in: - name of the plug-in - )". Something like "It is not possible to load the filter plug-in required. The plug-in can not be installed correctly or files may be missing." I like to know if this is because i was trying to use old plug-ins or if it is possible to use them.
