Thank you very much for this ! I missed Andrea ;)

Just one thing that I miss from andrea : the "relative latitude" just in front of each paper and film. For the film/paper I usually use I know them, so not really a problem, but it sometime helps to find faster the good film depending on the situation (targeting high dynamic range film, or the opposite...)

Anyway thanks !!

Yes, Brenda will be the next plug-in. And I have some enhancements for it too.

seanmpuckett wrote:I should not have put Nostalgia for "stealth" upload just yet, it needs to wait for the 1.0.1 point release of AfterShot or those button crashes happen sometimes. That's my fault. My apologies. :( I had forgotten I was using the next release of AfterShot to test with. I goofed up.
Good to hear that is a 1.0.1 in the pipline ;)

I am waiting on that one as well as your plugin, so I can migrate 100% to ASP.

That is the single best piece of news I've heard since ASP was released. ASP is incomplete without Brenda. Thanks Sean!

In fact, one more notice for "nostalgia". Why did you remove the "sublist" for paper grade and film chemical/reveal time ?
Because of this, the film and paper lists became just *huge*... I think the Andrea way was much more usable with shortest lists. And it was logical : first choose your film or paper, then (in a second time), choose the variant. This was logical, and IMHO more useable.

Anyway, thanks for your work. I will probably rebuy it again after some tests just like I bought andy pro, andrea and brenda ;).
And it seems I downloaded it during the short availability window

I know the lists of film and paper are large, and now they're even larger than before. Having used two lists for four years it would have been easy to just settle back into that mode. I was never comfortable with it though it seemed simpler, because the hierarchical presentation was quite clumsy. Choosing among the alternatives required many more clicks, and you couldn't just roll the thumbwheel of the mouse or scroll down the list to see all of the films or papers available, and thus it was much more limiting of choice and exploration.

As it is now, the lists are daunting but discovery and experimentation is easier than it was. I am still thinking of how the film and paper lists could be made better, but a return to the Andrea style of two combo boxes does not seem likely.

I do appreciate the feedback, though, and yes, I agree that what Brenda (new name coming soon) does is core functionality in a processing workflow.

If you managed to sneak in to my website and buy Nostalgia and were experiencing crash problems with ASP 1.0.0 upon hitting the Reset button, please log in to my plug-in site and grab 1.0.5 from your download list. Let me know if this fixes it for you. If so, I'll open it up again. Thanks!

I'm looking at the screenshot on your site, and the new interface looks much cleaner. I'll have to play with it a bit once released, but I'm thinking you are on the right track. I agree that the multiple combos could get in the way & slow things down. Many times the way I chose a setting was to preview the effects; it seems to me putting all the options for the film or paper into a single combo would make that much easier--as you said just use the scroll wheel to cycle through them.

Thanks for releasing Nostalgia! Great to hear about Brenda (or its successor), too!

By the way, http://nexi.com/nostalgia still refers to Andrea (instead of Nostalgia) at the bottom of the "Sample Images" section and under "Important Trademark Notice".
