Post by roku »

Hello,

after installing the T&B version of PaintShop Pro X4, I get the error message Corel PaintShop Pro.exe is no valid Win32 application.
The virus scanner is deactivated and I have uninstalled in reinstalled it several times without success.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem ?

Win7 64bit

Thanks for help

This message usually pops up when there has been a corruption somewhere in the download and the Setup exe is damaged. Try downloading again may help.

Does the shortcut you're opening the file from actually lead to the folder that PSP resides in? For me it's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4 and the file name is the same as in your post. "Corel PaintShop Pro.exe", not "PaintShop pro.exe".

There are a number of reason why you are getting this error and not just a damaged software. The error can be caused by any of the following.

- File is corrupt, bad, or missing.

You may not have the complete installation file that is why you are getting this message, I would suggest that you just redownload the installer to make sure that the problem is not caused by damaged installer.

You can directly download the program at http://www.corel.com/akdlm/6763/downloa ... YB30EN.exe

- File is a virus, worm, or other malware file.
Update your anti-virus and run a full scan.

Hi folks,

the background malware scanner "Mamutu" has blocked the Paint Shop Pro.exe. Don't know why.

Thanks for help

This can be a false-positive result on your malware scanner, you may want to make sure its updated or if it has an allowed list, you can include PaintShop in that list.
