OK, so the Bibble-AfterShot Pro continuum appears philosophically/morally/or some other ally opposed to the the changes wrought by Adobe products to .dng files. While APS can read .dng files straight from cameras producing such files (Pentax, Leica and others), it is unable to read those files after processing in Lightroom for example. Those same Lightroom processed files can certainly be opened and worked on in Corel PaintShop Pro x4.
