I am in the UK and have been asked to transfer a NTSC video tape to a PAL DVD. I can do this easily as I have a NTSC video and converter, and have done this many times, but they also want a DVD to send to the USA in NTSC format. I was going to play the tape a second time without the converter but Is it as easy as just changing the setting in Videostudio 10 from PAL to NTSC or do I have to change anything else.
I hope someone can help please.

Re: Trying to burn NTSC DVD in UK
Hi
Yep its as simple as changing the project properties to NTSC DVD Mpeg2.
Then add the Pal to the timeline, Share Create Video File --- Same as Project Settings will render the project to NTSC.
Batch convert will do the same, add your video then select the render properties.
There are pitfalls regarding quality
Pal uses 25 fps, ntsc 29.9fps so the encoder will add frames, these are duplicate frames from the Pal video, so when playing the NTSC may blip or pulse, whether this is noticeable is debatable??????
