How to Capture Frame Mode to computer

Hi All,

I have a Canon GL2 NTSC. I am experimenting with Frame mode 30fps. Is there any special way to capture my video to computer for Frame Mode because MSP7 seems to think it is normal video. Perhaps it is...I'm not sure.

Assuming that you are using the DV capture feature via firewire (as opposed to analogue capture using the composite or s-video outputs) then no, there's nothing special you need to do.

What ends up on hard disk is a duplicate of what's on the tape.

However, you will need to tell MSP that the footage is frame based. It assumes that DV clips are lower-field by default.
