Can I upload Powerpoint Presentaion To Add To My Movie?
Hi everyone, it has been some time since I had a need to contact the forum. It is always a pleasure as well as informative experience. My question is simple I would like to incorporate a Powerpoint presentation to my video project. Is this possible? If so how would I go about uploading the PP files to Video Studio Pro x4? Or even better Is there any way for me to create Powerpoint like video screens with Video Studio Pro x4 editing or templates? Any information or advice about this question will be greatly appreciated.

Ah - been a long time since I used Powerpoint , but I still have it on my PC and I have just checked what outputs it has (haven't actually done it recently mind)
If your presentation is just a sequence of static slides then the option exists to 'save as' each one as a .jpeg which you can then very easily import to the VideoStudio timeline.
If individual slides contain animation (as opposed to the whole presentation being a slideshow) then the best option I would suggest is to 'save as' a Windows Media Video (.wmv) which again you can import direct into the VS timeline.
Should work - but as I say I have not actually done it for over 10 years
you can do a great deal of presentation like work in VideoStudio - you can bring in text and move it around and have images appear and move - the text is done in the Title creation area and the rest just makes use of the overlay tracks to position and show images as and when you want them. Have a look at some of the tutorial videos which you can see on the Corel Guide splash screen which launches when you start VideoStudio - the 'Titling' one may be relevant to your requirements.
Alternatively you can produce still .jpg or .bmp images in any drawing/photo package you have and import them to VS.

You can actually save your Powerpoint slideshow to different image format that is supported by VS X4, like JPEG, PNG, WMF etc... you can do that by going to the SAVE AS feature of Power Point and make sure that you select EVERY SLIDE, each slide then will be name like slide1.jpg, slide2.jpg, slide3.jpg, slide4.jpg.... and will be organized in a folder.
Once that is done, you can use the INSERT MEDIA FILE TO TIMELINE > INSERT PHOTO... > of VS X4 then navigate to the location where the series of slides*.jpg are saved. Then just select all images and OPEN them on VS X4. The VS X4 will then automatically arrange the images according to filename and since it's numbered, you don't have to worry in rearranging the order.
I'm not sure if there are other ways to do it, maybe someone will have a better way.
