Video Studio Pro X4

Post by janigfilms »

HELP HELP HELP.
Hi, I am new to this forum, although I have used Corel Video Studion for a number of years. I purchased VideoStudio Pro X4 some months ago and have no problem until now.
Having edited a film into five segments. I have re-edited each segment with success until I got to the last one, having saved the earlier ones at each stage so only dealing with one at a time. On saving the last segment all went well until playback when I got the correct audio BUT the picture is now just a BLUE screen and nothing else. In desperation I delted the programme from the computer then reloaded, updated with service pack 1 and 2. Also, followed an on line remomendation to putin a new dll detail. Restarted the computer, downloaded the film and re-edited the final segment. It did seem to save quicker but AGAIN i have the corrcet audion BUT the same BLUE screen and for the life of me I do not know why. Can anyone help PLEEEASE.

VideoStudio X4 - error message dump files

Post by janigfilms »

Back again.

Just tried again to save the same video file but again blue screen. Heyho. However, I did get a message that the programme had stopped working and formed an error message I should send to Corel. How do I recover that message and send it please. I have had a look around but do not seem to get to grips with this one either. Thanks to anyone who could help please.

the error message that you received telling you about the error also gives the path to the file - you are looking for a file with the extension .dmp

Brian,

I haven't posted for months but am making up now.

In my mucking around trying to crop a video clip, which is covered in another post, things came to a standstill at one stage and I got the message about sending a DMP file to Corel. You would think if they really wanted the file they would make it easy to do so with a link from the program, rather than navigating through the whole Corel site. The conclusion would have to be they don’t really want it!

Brian,

A further comment. I gave up trying to finding a route through Corel's website to anywhere I could send an email with DMP file attached.
