I did a search for anything on this forum mentioning previews and didn't see anyone with the same problem.
Whenever I'm applying an effect or processing HDR, my previews are just black pictures. I know I'm not on a top of the line graphics computer (will probably be buying a new computer next month) could it be the computer cannot handle the pictures? If I choose to select a picture (even though it's black) from the HDR selections, it processes a finished photo but it would be nice to see all the selections and be able to apply changes and see the effects without having to process it each time. Thanks for any help.

Re: PSP4 not able to view previews?
Try turning off the scratch disk.
File> Preferences> General Program Preferences> Display and Caching tab. Uncheck "Enable Scratch Disk". Click OK.
Close the program, open it again.
This may work, may not.

Re: PSP4 not able to view previews?
You can also try resetting the PSP X4 workspace and install the PSP X4 Sp1 that you can download here http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=3000009
To reset the workspace, you can do that by pressing and holding down the SHIFT key then double-click on the PSP icon then when you received the message "DO YOU WAN TO RESTORE PAINTSHOP Pro TO ITS DEFAULT STATE?" just click OK.
