Hi, I've been using X3 Ultimate for about 6 months, and in the past week the red Histogram overlay no longer appears in the Smart Photo Fix dialog box/window. The grey IMAGE Histogram is displayed, but no "adjustment" (red) histogram. Secondly.. and I run both PSP9 and PSPPX3 on the same machine, and Corel ads are starting to pop-up when images are launched. Seem to recall the fix was posted before for both of these issues however i'm not finding the answers right away.
Additional question: Corel Instant Viewer is associated with double-clicking images in File Manager here at the office with X3, however at home (both are legit registered installs) PSPPX3 Ultimate is launched for each image that is viewed. How can CIV be enabled in X3 Untimate? The installation at work is straight X3.
Thanks in advance,
-Ed

You may want to reset your PSP X3 workspace and update direct X.
You can download and update directX at
Direct X: http://on-msn.com/aLrk0j (WinXP)
Direct X: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/window ... tx-11.aspx
To reset PSP X3 Workspace, You can do that by pressing and holding down the SHIFT key then double-click on the PSP icon then when you received the message "DO YOU WAN TO RESTORE PAINTSHOP Pro TO ITS DEFAULT STATE?" just click OK.

You can delete the messages folder at "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Corel" then disable the messages preferences via HELP menu > COREL GUIDE > 2 gears icon > MESSAGE PREFERENCES

You can find the steps on how to associate PSP X3 to jpegs here http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... r-pictures
Thanks in advance,

Re: PSPPX3 histogram and ad pop-ups
The red histogram overlay is back, but I'm not sure what caused it to disappear or how it reappeared. All is good there!!
Doing a "DxDiag" from the RUN field indicates Dx11 is installed. The MS links to Dx updates are confusing.
I've associated JPG & PNG to Windows Photo Viewer with is fast and simple. That is working fine, but do not know the whereabouts of Corel Instant Viewer. How can it be started, enabled or associated?
All in all, the Corel version of PSP (that would be X3) has been troublesome. I was about to declare it stable until it CTD last night for unknown reasons while viewing from Organizer. Then it started back up in a weird window size. Must admit that it sure does enhance photo well.
