i have an insignia camcorder and ive been trying to upload my videos and trying to import them into the timeline it keeps saying "Unable to open file [F:\DCIM\100MEDIA\CLIP0205.AVI].
Invalid parameter. Please help, i dont want to find out i bought this for nothing.

How are you trying to add the clip to the timeline.
First import the video from the camera to your hard drive.
Then right click the timeline and select Import Video, browse the hard drive for your video clip.
Does this produces the error?
Are you able to play the video files on your pc using your media players?
Did the camera have software included, if yes have you installed this to your pc?
Some programs may install the codecs required to read the Insignia video files.
You indicate them as AVI but this is only a container and does not give any information regarding the clips properties, I’m guessing they may be Mpeg4 types.
