I've had nothing but problems with this latest project, finally got what looks decent and can't get past "preview" in the burn module. There's no "next" button, just "back."
Here's the details.
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium
VideoStudio Pro x2 - downloaded the patch
Project Properties:
NTSC
6.73 KB
37:31 minutes long
Still images are jpeg
videos are both MJPEG and Microsoft AVI (camcorder AND still digital)
Edit file format MPEG - should I try AVI?
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 704 x 480
frame-based
4:3
MJPEG Compressor - should this be something different?
PCM, 48,000 kHz 16 bit stereo
Image: Keep aspect ratio checked
apply anti-flickering checked
I know I am really stupid about these things, but somehow with the help of this forum, I've always been able to produce some pretty good stuff. Sure hope you can pull me through again.

Re: Can't get past "Preview" tab to burn DVD
Hi
There have been problems with navigating the burner module associated with Windows 7
As a work-round press Alt +N
As far as I know there is a fix, an update patch that cures this problem.
Have you installed all patches, there is a link at the top of the forum Patches & Updates.
In addition try manually installing Direct X
Latest Version

I note you say "downloaded the patch" - does that mean BOTH patches - it is SP2 which makes X2 Windows 7 compatible - have you downloaded and INSTALLED SP2
if you have and it's still not working then as a 'work-around' use Ctrl+N (both pressed together) - standard Windows keyboard short cut for 'next' - it has worked for most people.

Re: Can't get past "Preview" tab to burn DVD
Thanks guys - I can't imagine what I'd do without this forum.
I had already downloaded the SP2 patch and the DirectX, but it was the simple thing of alt+N that got me into burn. I think I'm still having some compatability problems with Windows 7, though, as I had created a disc image and was putting in a 4th disc to burn when a Windows media window popped up and started playing my project. When I tried to exit, the "burn" icon was active and when I clicked on it, it started the rendering process again.
At least I have a few good DVD's. Guess I'll try to put in the saved image files and see what I get.
Sounds like I really need to upgrade to ProX4, although I had just upgraded from VS 11 to 2X in mid-2010. I feel like I can't keep up!
Thanks again for all your help.

Hi
A little confused with your comments regarding a Disc Image, if you have created a disc image then how are you burning the DVD.
A disc image is an ISO file, Video Studio X2 is unable to burn this type of file, however I think VS 11 may have provided the VCD DVD Disc Image Recorder, at least VS10 did provide this program. View Start-All Programs-Ulead Video Studio
If you require multiple copies of the DVD then creating a Disc Image or DVD Folder is the way to go, then use another program to burn the disc.
