AC3 file format mismatch - can not import

Post by scott bert »

I am having trouble importing ac3 files into DVD Workshop.
I'm getting the following message "File Format Mismatch". The AC3 files will open on another computer with DVD Workshop.

Any Idea of what might be causing this?

Which version of DWS?

Hi,

Which version of DVD WS are you running? 1.x, 2.x, Full, Express, SE, Trial, patched, etc...

What was used to encode the AC3 audio files? What was their source?

I'm using DVDWS 2. with the latest patch.

Acid 4.0 was used to create the AC3 file. The source was a wav file.

Thanks,

Full or Trial?

Hi,

Is that the Full or Trial version? The Trial doesn not support AC3 audio.

If it's the FULL or Express version, then you can import the .wav audio file, and let DVD WS encode to Dolby Digital.

It's full version.

I encode the video in Procoder and than convert the wav file to AC3. I use Soundforge Acid 4.0 to convert to AC3 so that it's 5 channal surrond sound.
