circles and arrows

Post by Schwarzenegger »

I would like to be able to occasionally add figures such as circles, arrows etc into my Videostudio Pro X3 project, a little bit like the graphics toolbar in Microsoft Word. Such a facility is probably available but I am just a little amateur and have no idea where to find it. Help anyone ?

Don't think you can do it directly in VS, you'll probably have to make your circle etc in a photo editing programme and import it into VS and put it on an overlay track.

I had tried that before and had trouble with the transparency of the background. Consulted the manual and found Chroma. Made a new arrow in Mic Paint, gave it a nice red background, imported it into VS, applied the chroma key and hey presto a lovely clean arrow. Thanks for your help.

Use Photoshop Elements and save as PNG24 under the "Save for Web option." This gives you transparency
