WinDVD 2011 Pro issues

I have direct x installed as well
I have installed the latest updates. I also installed the latest patch for WinDvd pro 2011 (usa),
I get a box that pops up when i try to play a blu ray saying Playback with current display driver not supported......
any ideas?
My computer is a MSI CR620, it came with Windvd08 i believe and i had no issues.
i also have direct x 11 installed

any ideas?

i have discovered it will play dvd's but not blu ray. very frustrating............. I checked and all my drivers are up to date

MSI CR620 came preinstalled with WinDVD 2010 and if you have not installed the one provided for your laptop, you can download it from http://www.msi.com/product/nb/CR620.html#?div=Utility.

Also your laptop has an HDMI, are you using a 2nd display to view Bluray movies? If yes, then verify the cable connected to your TV Set is not plugged into a “Standalone Only” port. Many new TV sets have more than one HDMI port you can connect to. In most cases, there will be one dedicated to a standalone Blu-Ray or DVD player.

i will try the link later thank you, this laptop came with windvd 08 installed but i never did install the backup disk so i may have missed something. also to answer the 2nd part im using just my laptop to view them. its not on a cable to the tv.
to add to the frustration i downloaded cyberlink power dvd 11 trial and it plays blu ray fine. so i know for sure its not my laptop, it has to be corel, i tried to reinstall tehe windvd 11 pro but its the same thing. plays dvd but wont play blu rays.

same problem here. Intel HD 2000 Graphics, Latest Drivers, Latest DirectX installed.
I bought WinDVD 11 Pro Retail Version. I have a TEAC BD Drive.
WinDVD starts running the Disk, then sets my Windows 7 64 Bit UI to basic color mode, then it says: "Playback with the current display driver is not supported."

I have the same problem as everyone else here. "playback with current display driver is not supported" when I tried to play a blu-ray disc. My disc drive is ASUS-BC-12B1ST, and I have integrated Intel-3000 graphics. Please help, Corel.

Is this product designed for use with Nvidia products only? My laptop with plain Intel graphics adapter gets that same unsupported graphics message that everyone else is getting. I may have to now get Cyberlink.

Yup, I tried PowerDVD trial version, and it worked so I purchased it right away. Good luck.

WinDVD 11 Pro (Trial) gives the same error message for Intel i7-3770 and i3-2100 with built-in graphics. Tried SP1 but it said it wasn't needed.

WinDVD Advisor Tool says it doesn't recognize the internal graphics (exclamation mark) and CPU (question mark). However, since the Advisor Tool is stored at /akdlm/6763/downloads/WinDVD/9/WinDVDAdvisor.exe, it looks like it hasn't been updated since WinDVD 9...?!

SP1 is from 2011-11-11 (and is the only available update) and i7-3770 (with HD2500, and HD4000 in it's sister CPUs) is from the summer of 2012. Usually BD software needs to be updated regularly to work with the latest discs even, and I imagine also due to new hardware. PowerDVD has updates several times per year. Sounds like an update is needed?

So the conclusion seems to be that WinDVD (any version) does not work with Intel CPUs with built-in graphics (probably the most popular CPUs around, and very suitable for BD playback).

I have contacted support via e-mail but after 3 completely useless replies they finally say the Trial version does not entail free support. What support? And what's the purpose of Trial versions if not to test WinDVD on a system before buying it?

I am flabbergasted and taken aback (simultaneously)...

Also it is too bad this forum is so hard to find via Corel's main site.
