Custom White Balance Problem
Picking a neutral spot in this image creates a white balance setting, that delivers everything but a neutral color on the sample point:
The green cast even after the attempted white balance setting shows both in the curves and in the figures in the lower right corner.
Any idea how to correct this?
Markus

Ouch.
As shot is fine. Click white is a green nightmare. Something is broken here.
I think the bibble upload site for problem images still works, I suggest sending it in.

Ah, I have had a similar issue with one of my shots, but not as clear as in your example. I was thinking that my eyes were wrong, but it seems that click-white is indeed broken.

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
OK, so this might become sort of a litmus test for the new company. I uploaded my raw file on the old bibble site and am now looking forward for a reaction, or, better, a fix.quadrox wrote:Ah, I have had a similar issue with one of my shots, but not as clear as in your example. Re: Custom White Balance Problem
I sure hope that ASP didn't use PaintShop Pro's white balance engine. It's the worst thing in the world when it comes to white balance.

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
Strange enough, "pick grey" from the curves tool does a much better job than the white balance picker:
Note that the balance is much better now, but the level of blue is still not sufficient when looking at histogram and at the values in the bottom line.
I have uploaded my raw file on the bibble website, but gotten no reaction. It would be nice if Corel/Bibble developers would acknowledge it.

Same here, with a couple of shots. :-/quadrox wrote:Ah, I have had a similar issue with one of my shots, but not as clear as in your example. I was thinking that my eyes were wrong, but it seems that click-white is indeed broken.
(Worked around this by using the WB temp+tint sliders.)
Please (let Bibblelabs) fix this, Corel!

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
Seeing this, I tried the click white balance and can confirm I'm seeing the same issue. Nasty green tones. Doesn't matter whether I pick the black, grey, or white droppers. This is a new bug, Bibble 5 did not do this.

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
Hmm, now I'd just like to see if posting in the forum is sufficient as a bug report for Corel.
As the old bibble forum is still active, I'll crosspost there.

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
This forum is user to user. Assume that Corel is more likely not to see it than they are. If it's a bug contact them directly.

Re: Custom White Balance Problem
Hi,
I can remember that I´ve seen this issue also with B5.2.2 and B5.2.3 on lots of my shots, but never opened a thread for this.
When I´ve some time over I´ll do some test with some pictures and post here.
And meanwhile I just do it manually (if needed).
cheers
