How do I fade audio to a specific level?

Post by RCG »

I'd like to fade the audio from 100% to 50% over a period of time as opposed to a hard cut in volume. Any trick for doing this smoothly (besides cutting it into 50 individual chunks and manually doing it)?

Is the audio the audio track of one single video? If so, use the rubber band approach, starting at the start of the video at 100% and moving to your selected point at 5%. The video will decline in volume evenly to that point. And for the rubber band approach, look at the help files.
