Hi guys . First I would like to introduce myself . I'm manny from Puerto Rico and new to this forum . Recently I downloaded aftershot pro in order to test it out and really liked it alot . My first try of the program was when I down loaded it which opens up automatically upon instalation . After having fooled around with it for a while and get to like it , I closed the program and afterwards when I tried to open it again it opens for a few seconds closing itself afterwards indicating that it found a problem . I have tried downloading it a few times after having uninstaled it and does the same thing . Can someone here tell me more or less what could be going on ? Thanks in advance.
My operating system is windows vista , 32 bit version on a Sony vaio laptop , intel centrino processor , 4GB of ram and 180 gb hard disc space with 60 GB of still free space on it . I have tried DXO pro , Adobe cs5 , lightroom , Bibble , nikon Capture nx2 and elements 9 which I'm am presently using so I don't think it's my set up thats the problem as all have worked ok on my system more or less with differing speeds being the slowest paintshop pro . Take Care guys . By the way , my equipment is all nikon and I have connected on my system a HP 2210m 22" monitor , a 1TB external hard disc for my photos , an Epson printer and a epson high resolution scanner to scan negatives when I'm out using my Nikon F100 . Don't think that the equipment I have connected to my laptop could be causing the problem but I just wanted to mentioned it just in case.

Re: Problem opening aftershot
I always wonder whether this results in the program running with admin privileges instead of your default user privileges. Therefore I never run anything directly out of the install process.mannypr wrote:My first try of the program was when I down loaded it which opens up automatically upon instalation .
Well, uninstalling never helps as long as here are already user settings that lead to problems.when I tried to open it again it opens for a few seconds closing itself afterwards indicating that it found a problem . Check the AfterShotPro.log file in your AS user folder for hints (for the location of that folder see hints in the kickstart link in my signature).
Make sure you have full permissions for that folder and subfolders
And you might try to delete the cache folder in your user folder.
cheers
