Rendering Issue

Post by rickb »

I have the issue of trying to burn a project to DVD but getting the message "Convert Step Got some Problems." After researching this problem, I realize a work-around is save a video file in the proper format prior to burning. So I am now trying to render my project to an MPEG-2 for DVD burning. The rendering process gets about 50% complete and then just stops, no error messages.I thought it might be a storage issue, so I tried saving the rendered video to an external hard drive, but it still wont save the video. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rick

There is fairly obviously something that VS does not like or cannot handle at around that point where it stops. What is the original format of the video at that point. Or is there any special editing or audio or other effects at around that point?

You were right ken. I split my project in half to see if one side would render and the other not. I was able to get one to render. On the one that wouldnt, i Went through the clips around the ‰ point it would stop and kept eliminating clips and trying to render until it would finally render. Long process of elimination and sad to see that clip go, but happy with a first successful burn after 20 plus hours of tinkering.
