This is a first time venture for me, so please excuse me if my question seems too elementary.
I am capturing a video from my tape Video cam. I will be editing it, adding music and stills. My question relates to the format I should use in the Capture Options area. I am not sure which would produce the best overall video quality for the finished product ( I am not overly concerned for the still quality, just the movie quality). The choices I am considering are:
DV, AVI, MPEG, or DVD.
I have searched the manual and help menu, but nothing really explained the differences/advantages/disadvantages.
Thanks in advance,
jake
No Problem - just need some info

Go with DV/AVI - this retains it in exactly the same format at created by the camera. Once you've finished your project you can output in DV/AVI if you want to send it back to the camera, or you can output to a DVD (Mpeg format) or even just create the MPEG DVD folder structure on your hard drive...
