I am a user of Bibble 5 pro. and also LR, the things I like about ASP are,
Use of Folder or Catalog (creating a catalog is not mandatory)
Layers
Quality
Speed.

I am also a registered user of PaintShop Pro; Corel Draw and Corel Video Studio so I am happy that this superior raw processing technology has come to Corel.

Having seen the previous post, I have to add that the ability to work on my filesystem directly without import is key. I really hate that Catalog support was added to Bibble (it's a RAW processor - I manage my catalog elsewhere)

After Shot Pro running on Debian Squeeze would be nice (Bibble 5 did so).

Without Cataloging I would not be very impressed with ASP... The degrigation of the catalog structure is key to alot of us. Many of us have PSPX4 and DPP (or their equivilent) and were looking for a excellent management program. What is your management program/style/file structure?

Well, it is the weakest part of ASP.
Does not even qualify as a toy db unfortunately.

Image storage and image management are two different issues. I suggest opening up an extra thread on this to now water down this one.

cheers

I love:

- Linux support... by far the best RAW workflow for Linux
- Amazing speed... results are seen immediately
- Layers without a need for 3rd-party plugin... lots of editing freedom
- Easy support for 3rd-party plugins

I'll keep my feature wishlist for the apprpriate thread.
